IMS Track Cleanups 2010-2011

What a great season this was for Columbus Youth Hockey!

While many of you may have just put away the gear and haven't thought much about next season, I want to relay this information so that you may participate if you are interested.

Each summer the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, through their Ecology Program, provides opportunities for youth organizations to earn money.  The organizations may work at Practices, Qualifications, Race Days & Post Race Day events (3 total) and the funds earned will be applied directly to offset your player(s) fees for the 2010-11 season.  This year we will be working the Post Race clean up events - the Indy 500 (Monday, May 31), Brickyard 400 (Monday July 26), and the Red Bull Grand Prix (Monday, August 30).

The reason I am contacting you now is that we are finalizing our volunteer list and we need a committment of how many people are interested in working at these events.  Many other youth organizations are interested in these opportunities, and IMS does have a minimum manpower requirement per event & area, so it's important that CYH have a solid commitment from our membership before we submit our request.
