Settings for AM150 in Scorer's Box.

Talk Over: (white arrow dotted top left)

Talk over should be set to off.  Turning talk over to on will decrease the channels while the mic is in use.  Suggestion: turn this off.

Mic: (white arrow dotted left middle)

This is the microphone level control.  Much like the channel sliders, it controls the volume of the mic. Mic level should intitially be set to zero.  Depending on the microphone being used adjust this as necessary.  A good setting should be somewhere between the 5-7 dot.  There are two microphone inputs.  A three prong input on the top left of the device and one on the back side with a phono plug.  Both can be used and are controlled by the mic level and tone.  Suggestion: Set at 0 increase as necessary.  Testing will be needed.

Mic Tone: (white arrow dotted bottom left)

This should be set to zero or straight up.  Adjust as necessary.  This controls the tone of the microphone.  If the tone of the mic is very deep and muffled, turn it to the right to improve the pitch of the mic.  Suggestion: Set at 0 straight up.

Channel 1 & 2 Sliders (Mixing): (white middle)

These control the volume of the input lines 1 or 2.  The optimal setting is somewhere between 7-8.  If needed and depending on the sources used, you might have to go louder or softer.  Suggestion: Set at zero and gradually slide up.

Fader: (bottom orange oval)

The fader should be set in the middle equally between channels.  10-0 is channel 1 on the top.  1-10 is channel 2 on the bottom.  This will fade between the two sources.  Suggestion: Keep this in the middle.

Monitor: (orange arrow middle right)

The monitor is for the record out rca plugs on the back of the device.  These are typcially not used.  But if you wanted to get an rca level out of the mixer hook into these outputs on the back of the device.  You can use this knob to control the output level.  Output level from 7-9 should be adequate.  This will not be needed unless you are recording the event.  Suggestion: Set at 7.

Master: (orange arrow bottom right)

This controls the final output level of the mixer. This should not be adjusted unless absolutely necessary.  It should be set on the first of the dots level 7-8.  It's very important to not set this too high as distortion will occur.  Suggestion: Set at 7.

Inputs:

Inputs should be set to Line 1, Line 2, and Master.   Easy all facing right. Nothing should go into the phono inputs it will be distorted unless it's an actuall phono.   Suggestion: Set all facing right - Line 1, Line 2, Master.
