Columbus Youth Hockey (CYH) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Columbus, Indiana at Hamilton Center within Lincoln Park.
CYH was established circa 1958 by Howard Guitard and Dick Reams. Through the 1960s CYH had a strong outdoor program consisting of both house and travel teams. In 1974, the outdoor rink was enclosed. During that season, both house and travel teams played at rinks in Clarksville and Indy South. CYH was incorporated in 1991 after the creation of USA Hockey from AHAUS. The CYH program has produced many NCAA division 1 and division 3 players and even more have played at the ACHA club levels while several have played in the professional leagues.
Currently, the CYH organization is led by a board of 15 elected members who meet monthly. CYH supports hockey programs from Mite (ages 6-8) through high school, referees, summer camps, and tournaments. The high school club team (not affiliated with IHSAA) has won state championships in 2008, 2002,1997, and 1994 while reaching the state finals in 2007 and 1977. In 2008, the high school team launched a project called “Pucks & Paws” raising over $6,000 for the local Humane Society. The youth programs have won numerous league tournaments and national and regional Silver Stick tournaments.

Hamilton Center Ice Arena is proud to be a part of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department. Hamilton Center was built in 1958 by the Hamilton Cosco Foundation and donated to the Parks and Recreation Department. This facility was designed by the renowned architect, Harry Weese, and is one of the many buildings on the architectural tour. The structure still holds a modern look and is well maintained. Fun Facts: In 1978, the Indianapolis Racers of the World Hockey Association held their try-outs at Hamilton Center with a 17 year old superstar named Wayne Gretzky. Several other NHL stars have been seen at Hamiton Center including Rod Brind'Amour and Gordie Howe.
