Columbus Youth Hockey 3 on 3 Tournament

When: Friday 12/28 and Saturday 12/29

Where: Hamilton Center Ice Arena, Columbus, IN

Age Divisions: Mite, Squirt, Peewee Minor/PW/Bantam House, Peewee Major/Bantam, & Adult/High School.

Cost: $30 – Skater & $20 – Goalie

Games: Three Round Robin Games and one Championship & Consolation Match at each division.

Game Times: Friday 12/28  - 4:15PM to 6:45 PM ( Mite , Squirts Pw/Minor , Pw/Ban.)
Saturday 12/29  - 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM ( No games 2:00 – 4:00 PM )

Game Duration: Each game will consist of three (3) eight minute running clock periods with one minute of Intermission between the first & second periods. A three minute warm-up will take place prior to each game.

Championship/Consolation Rounds: The top two point winners from each pool will play for the

Championship: Third and fourth will play for the Consolation.

Game Scoring: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.

Tie Breakers: Head to Head, Goals for / Goals against, Shootout.

Team Composition: Teams will consist of three or four skaters and one goalie. All teams will be assigned by the Competition Committee. Player only signs up to play. We are striving to keep all the teams as equal as possible in each division. The committee will check with the coaching staff of each team in order to keep the teams balanced.

 

Game Rules:
Only USA Hockey registered youth participants will be allowed to compete.

USA Hockey Rules will apply.

No Checking at Every Level!!!

No offsides, this is a cross ice tournament.

No bench/on ice coaching allowed.

Parents may assist with the changing of skaters in the Mite and Squirt Divisions only.
No Peewee and above parents/ coaches allowed on the ice. Players and on ice officials only allowed on the ice during a Peewee and above game.

Minor Penalties :  A penalty shot will be awarded to the non-offending team.

Major Penalties: The offending player will be removed from the ice for a period of three minutes where there can be no substitution for the offending player during the three minutes of play.

After the second Major Penalty of the same player during the tournament, the player will be disqualified for the remainder of the tournament.
